Equity
Research Analyst A
leading provider of benchmark indices and risk management analytics
products and services to both international and domestic investors seeks a
Equity Research Analyst. The Equity and Multi Asset Class Research (Core
Products) team is responsible for the management, practical applications
and enhancements of both Index and Risk content products, including all
Equity Index Series and Equity Risk tools. The
Equity Research team is responsible for: ·
Managing
equity indices for the Americas region ·
Monitoring
and analyzing of all corporate events related to the equity
indices for Americas region ·
Analyze
and promote the practical applications and use in the clients’
investment processes for our index and risk tools ·
Providing
customized analytical inputs to product management and sales
Responsibilities for Equity Research Analyst ·
Responsible
for index construction and maintenance for countries or indices in the
Americas region, including the review of the structure of equity markets,
the analysis and recommendation of securities for index additions and/or
deletions ·
Conduct
analytical research on corporate events such as mergers and acquisitions,
equity offerings, tender offers, stock splits and capital repayments ·
Spearhead
projects on equity index and risk product integration initiatives, working
closely with the equity research Executive Director. ·
Conduct
analytical research on other index related topics such as investability of
equity markets, industry classification, and regulatory structure of the
country/market/sector under coverage ·
Prepare
and present various index methodological reports to the equity decision
committees, participate in product enhancement and product development
efforts ·
Work
closely with Equity Index Research Analysts in other Research locations
(Hong Kong, Geneva and Mumbai), ensuring seamless execution of index
maintenance processes within overall Equity Index Research processes ·
Assist
with the hiring, training and management of new hires

Required Qualifications: ·
6
– 8 years of relevant experience in the US, Canada and/or Latin American
Equity Markets ·
Master’s
degree, with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or
related field ·
Good
understanding of equity investment processes and capital markets ·
Experience
in roles requiring strong analytical and strong quantitative
